Its Florida coverage includes the Department of Corrections, all 67 county jails, and juvenile justice. VINE can report current location and tentative release information supplied by a participating source. Depending on the case and agency, supported events may include release, transfer, escape, death, out-to-court movement, work-release placement, movement to another jurisdiction, return to custody, and certain supervision changes. These terms are not interchangeable. A transfer means one custodian handed the person to another; it does not prove a return to the community.

If an identifier conflicts, stop and return to the roster. The deep link is a handoff to the notification system, not a released-person archive stored by the sheriff.
After the card disappears, use a direct VINELink search by full name or known agency number. Then call Washington County Jail or submit a records request if the status needs documentary support. The missing card itself does not tell whether the person bonded out, completed a local term, transferred to FDC, moved to another jail, or entered federal or immigration custody.

A released result generally reports a release or status change and the supplying agency and date. A state prisoner may also have tentative release information before departure. That estimate is not the same as a completed release event. After an FDC release, the Supervised Population Search may show that prison custody ended while state community supervision continues.
Register Washington County Release Alerts

Official Florida instructions state that automated calls may repeat until the correct PIN is entered. In the formal FDC process, a registration without a chosen PIN defaults to the last four digits of the phone number. Each telephone registration is separate. If the PIN is forgotten, the toll-free service can route the registrant to an operator to reset or cancel it.

Washington County VINE Alert Events
Florida materials describe more than release notices. Phone acknowledgment has a specific purpose. Entering the PIN and pressing # tells the system that the message was received, which stops repeat calls for that event. Official instructions say attempts may continue for up to 48 hours until acknowledgment, and release or escape calls can arrive at night. The PIN applies to phone acknowledgment. An email recipient should not be told to use it unless the live interface expressly requires that step.

Washington County VINE Custody Paths
Washington County includes the county jail and two FDC institutions, but VINE does not make those records identical. WCSO reports county jail custody. FDC reports state prison custody and state supervision. Northwest Florida Reception Center, Main Unit and Northwest Florida Reception Center, Annex are state institutions, even though both are in Washington County. A move from the jail to either unit is a transfer into state custody.
